THANK YOU!!!! The wedding would not have been a wedding without your son DJ'ing. If that is not a word it should be. You tell John Jr. that he will always have a place in our hearts. The guests and immediate family are still talking about the wonderful job he did and his dynamic personality. Gary and I will never be able to find the correct words to describe what the evening meant to us. All of our children and guests danced the night away. I can't remember a time when I saw so many smiles and happiness in one evening. John Jr. was a major factor in that. He kept the music coming and made everyone feel welcome and entertained. You and your Son are remarkable individuals and we thank you again for being with us on this special day.

You deserve a plaque, award, or some really large monument dedicated to your undying faith in putting together Evanstock. Having planned or performed in numerous events/festivals/concerts and basements, I realize that there literally thousands of decisions that have to be considered....from choice of venue to security, to catering, to artist coordination, and so many other things.

While it was both a privilege and an honor to be involved in Evanstock personally, there's no question in my mind that you deserve the accolades (okay, props...). We (speaking on behalf of the performers), only needed (and enjoyed) to be plying our trade, while you had to deal with the "whole nine yards."

Needless to say, it couldn't/wouldn't have happened without your endless perseverance, attention to detail, and interaction with everyone on all fronts. There's not much that I can say besides "Thanks," which would never be enough to cover what you actually did. Besides putting together a great show that lasted 3 days, and all that went into it, you rekindled some age-old friendships between people who NEVER would have seen each other again if you hadn't put this concert together. You also created an environment for some of us to make some new friends, who will stay in touch, likely, for many years to come.

There ain't much more to it, Chief. You pulled it together, made it happen, and made a whole lot of people's lives better. When it comes time to look back on your life, and think about something that you did that made a difference, Evanstock's credit is yours.

Congratulations on a job well done, my friend. You're one of the good ones.

You are to be commended for the outstanding job in putting together this enormous undertaking. As with any event of this magnitude there are challenges, wins and losses. But the overall event was a Big Success. I can't express to you how fulfilling it was to hear all the old bands and see so many old friends. The social scene was almost as enjoyable as the music. At times it felt like a ETHS reunion.
Based on the buzz I am hearing and reading, next year's event will be even better. Keep me posted as I look forward to the next one. Again, thank you and your supporters for an event to remember . . . EVANSTOCK 2004.

Thanks for bringing so many people together --- how did you do it ?

To say I met a lot of new friends is true, but it is probably not enough just to say it.

A couple of players from my ETHS class ( 1977) came down to see me at Evanstock, and that too was such a gas.

Let's do it again / and if you are ever giggin out here again you know you are more than welcome to call / you got friends out here, if you are in Madison or in Iowa, or Galena, whatever.
